Farlie Turner Gilbert Advises on the Sale of Apple Valley Waste Services to Gold Medal Group

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (December 6, 2018) – Farlie Turner Gilbert & Co. (“AVW”), a portfolio company of Summer Street Capital Partners, LLC, in its sale to Gold Medal Group, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, and its minority partner BioHiTech Global. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Based in Kearneysville, West Virginia, AVW is a leading regional provider of solid waste collection, processing and recycling services. AVW is one of the largest collectors and recyclers of municipal, commercial and roll‑off waste in the Mid‑Atlantic region, providing its suite of waste management services to customers in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. AVW represents a vertically integrated environmental services platform as it operates a municipal solid waste transfer station, recycling transfer station and a single stream material recycling facility.
